DESIGN INSPIRATION
French designer and architect Charlotte Perriand (1903 – 1999) – A life of creation
Charlotte Perriand started collaborating with Le Corbusier and Pierre Jeanneret at the end of the 1920s, bringing into the studio her master of elegant and simple steeled furniture. From the 1940s, her designs were much influenced by the Japanese aesthetic she discovered when visiting the country. The armchair and the deck-chair she imagined for the Villa LaRoche have become emblematic pieces of modern design.
